Earlier, Truong Thi Mai and the working delegation attended a New Year program held by the provincial Labor Federation. At the event, the organizing panel presented 400 Tet gifts to needy workers and households in the locality.
The same day, a mission of the General Department of Logistics, led by its Party Secretary and Political Commissar Lieutenant General Do Van Thien, paid a New Year visit to officials and people in Huong Do commune, Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province.
The commune was the location where the Front Command Post of the General Department of Logistics was stationed to lead and direct the logistic supplies for the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists.
The delegation presented gifts and extended New Year wishes to the Party Committee and authorities of Huong Do commune, martyrs’ mothers and widows, 20 needy families, and troops of Battalion 682 under Brigade 971 of the Department of Transport under the General Department of Logistics.
In Dong Son commune of A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province, the Chemical Corps organized a New Year program and presented gifts to needy local women and families and schools.
On the occasion, the Chemical Corps handed over 60 gift packages, worth VND 80 million in total, to needy local women and families and schools. Each gift package included clothes, blankets, mosquito nets, necessities, and school supplies.
On the occasion of the Year of the Cat, the Chemical Corps plans to offer 1,200 gifts to policy beneficiaries in localities where its units are stationed.
On the afternoon on January 11, the Military Medical University visited and presented gifts to three ill Trade Union members who are working at the university, Military Hospital 103, and Le Huu Trac National Institute of Burns.

On the occasion of the lunar New Year, the university has organized many practical activities to take care of its officials, trade union members, and workers, especially those who are in difficult circumstances and have serious illnesses.
The trade unions at all levels in the university plan to hand over 589 gifts, worth VND 250 million in total, to their members.
