Staff of Naval Flotilla 129 repairs fishing vessel for fishermen
PANO - On June 27, the Logistics-Technical Service Center of Truong Sa (Spratly) Island (under Naval Flotilla 129 of the Naval Service) repaired and handed over fishing vessel BD 985353TS to its crew-members so that they could resume their operations at sea.
Earlier, while fishing 12 nautical miles off Truong Sa Island, vessel BD 985353TS encountered an issue with its main engine.

Upon receiving a distress call from the vessel's captain, the leadership at the Logistics-Technical Service Center dispatched technical staff to inspect the case and discovered that the main engine's flywheel shaft had malfunctioned.
During the repairs, the center's personnel also provided information about combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing for the crew-members. Additionally, they presented the fishermen with national flags, life jackets, 2,000 liters of fresh water, and various necessities.
