Earlier, the trawler, captained by Hoang Hai (from Cua Viet town, Quang Tri province), sent a mayday signal while fishing about 150 nautical miles off Da Nang. Fisherman Bui Dinh Linh on board was injured in the hand and leg.

Doctors gives first aid to the patient
After receiving the information, the Center coordinated with the Vietnam National Institute of Maritime Medicine to instruct other fishermen on the trawler to give first aid to the patient. The patient was in a critical condition due to much blood loss and needed to be treated urgently.

At 7:39am the same day, ship SAR-412 with doctors from the 115 Medical Emergency Center set off for the rescue mission.

At 15:00, the ship reached the trawler, and the doctors gave first aid to the patient and brought him ashore for further treatment.
