Over 2,000 troops help locals overcome flood consequences
PANO – According to the Department of Search and Rescue under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army on November 13, military units have continued to search for missing victims and help local people overcome the consequences of recent floods.

The whole army sent more than 2,040 troops (1,389 soldiers and 651 militiamen and civil self-defense personnel) and 91 vehicles to support people in storm-hit areas.
Accordingly, the Military Region 4 Command sent 1,175 troops and 57 vehicles to Hue city, Huong Thuy town, Phu Vang district in Thua Thien-Hue province, and two districts of Da Krong and Hai Lang in Quang Tri province to clean up the environment and repair 1,500m of canals and 4,400m of roads.
Furthermore, the Military Region 5 Command also assigned 798 troops and 24 vehicles for rescue missions.
