Army continues to help storm Damrey victims
PANO – Military units on November 12 continued to help victims of storm Damrey handle its consequences and to resume normal lives.
Accordingly, Military Region 4 mobilized over 1,200 troops and militiamen, and 46 vehicles and boats to the mission.
Military Region 5 sent more than 2,300 soldiers and dozens of vehicles to repair 104 houses, schools and public offices and clean up 52 others, repair 4.5km of roads and dredge 2.3km of canals.
Meanwhile, 100 cadres and cadets of the Vietnam Naval Academy assisted local people in Phuoc Long ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province, to clean up the environment.
Particularly, hundreds of troops in Naval Region 3 have so far spread out Da Nang city to help local people clean streets and repair damaged properties.
