The project was started in February this year with an investment of VND 500 million which was drawn from the fund “For national seas and islands-For national frontline” of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chapter of Ho Chi Minh City.
Under this project, a 50 cubic meter water tank was built together with a nearly 2km main water pipeline to Tong Nua hamlet, and other pipelines to 23 households in the hamlet and to the commune’s cultural hall.
According to Nong Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of Thi Hoa commune’s People’s Committee, local people had to bring water home from the foot of a hill that takes time and effort. Therefore, the construction of this water tank is meaningful to local people, helping them easily get available clean water.
On the occasion, the joint force presented VND 60 million each to ten disadvantaged households in Thi Hoa commune to build houses.
They also visited and gave VND 30 million to troops of the Thi Hoa Border Post under the Cao Bang provincial Border Guard Command to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
