People in Gia Lai receive water.

In Ia Nan commune, Duc Co district, Gia Lai province, troops of Company 72 under Army Corps 15 provided the locals with clean water to help ease the shortage of clean water in the locality.

Since early this May, with the motto of “No locals lack water for daily activities,” the military company has mobilized four tank trucks to carry clean water to the locals.

Meanwhile, the Binh Thuan provincial Military Command has shipped free clean water by automobile 15 times, with each trip carrying 10 cubic meters of water to each village in Thuan Hoa commune, Ham Thuan Bac district.

According to Vo Ngoc Bach, secretary of the communal Party organization, almost all of the people in the commune are from ethnic minority groups. The nearly two-month drought has left over 1,700 households in the commune with only a small amount of clean water for their daily activities while some have to buy water at high prices.

The meaningful activity of the provincial Military Command has helped them stabilize their lives.
