Starting from 26 April to 12 May 2020, the program of BIDV aims to mobilize more funds to support people in provinces heavily hit by droughts and saltwater intrusion.

After the launch, the program saw the participation and support of a large number of customers. Notably, the bank took VND 5,000 from each money transfer transaction on BIDV SmartBanking and BIDV Online channels to buy water tanks and filters.

According to Le Ngoc Lam, Vice President in charge of the Board of Management of BIDV, all water tanks and filters will be sent to needy households to help them overcome consequences of droughts and saltwater intrusion.

"BIDV would like to thank our millions of customers for their support for the program. These meaningful gifts will help local people ease the impacts of natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.

From May 6 to 10, 2020, BIDV presented water tanks and filters to needy people in the five provinces of Ca Mau, KienGiang, Ben Tre, Tien Giang, and Long An.
