Naval troops help locals surmount heavy rain consequences
PANO – Prolonged downpours and gusty winds on September 6 made trees fall and caused traffic disruptions in Hang Vinh commune, Nam Can district, Ca Mau province.
On the following day, Flotilla 516 of the Naval Region 5 Command sent tens of officers and soldiers to work with local organizations to pack up felled trees and cut branches of other trees which might be uprooted.

It took the joint force a whole morning of that day to clean up the environment and three kilometers of roads, contributing to ensuring smooth traffic flow.
Lieutenant Commander Nguyen Van Hien, Political Commissar of the flotilla, held that due to heavy rain forecast for some areas, the unit will be on stand-by in response to any circumstances if requested.
