Militiamen mobilized to brace for flood consequences |
Earlier, on September 4, in Ky Son district, heavy rain with strong winds caused flooding in many areas such as Muong Xen townlet and the communes of Bao Nam, Chieu Luu, and Huu Lap.
The flooding had swept away more than 30 houses, eroded many roads, and damaged many infrastructure works. The sudden heavy rain also caused flooding in many schools in the areas, among them, ten schools were not able to kick off new academic year.
During September 4, Ky Son district’s Military Command mobilized over 130 troops and militiamen to the scene to help the locals overcome flood consequences.
Currently, the unit continues grasping the situation to be ready in any circumstances.
