At the event, delegates were informed about the situations in Vietnam’s waters, the Party’s and State’s viewpoints on safeguarding the national sovereignty over sea and islands, the missions of the Naval Service, and learn how to recognize and fight against wrongful views and malicious information of hostile forces about the East Sea (South China Sea).

The event was part of activities held by Son Tra district's Youth Union Committee in response to the “Youths and the sustainable development and protection of national sea and islands” program.

It  aimed to help Youth Union members understand more about the strategic role of Vietnam’s sea and islands in the national construction and protection cause as well as enhance solidarity and collaboration among participating units in information dissemination in the time to come.
