According to a report from Mu Cang Chai district, as of August 17, officers and soldiers of the district’s armed forces and Division 316 of Military Region 2 coordinated with local authorized agencies to build houses for 31 households who lost their houses during the flood, and repaired 71 out of 91 houses heavily damaged.

In addition, the district received more than VND 2.4 billion, 12,840 kg of rice, and other necessities donated by organizations, individuals, and benefactors nationwide to help flood-hit people.

On the occasion, the mission visited each family whose members died due to the flooding. They also suggested the locality continue to effectively carry out social security work to help local people soon stabilize their life.

In a visit to troops of Division 316 taking on mission of assisting locals in overcoming consequences of the flooding and landslides, Major General Dinh Manh Phac applauded their utmost efforts. He hoped that they would actively overcome difficulties, heighten sense of responsibility, and pro-actively support locals to stabilize their life soon.
