Needy local in Can Duoc district receiving gifts |
* Senior Colonel Tran Van Trai, Commanding Officer of the Long An Provincial Military Command, in association with the Long An branch of the Military Industry - Telecoms Group (Viettel) handed over 2,000 gifts of the Ministry of National Defense to Can Duoc district, Long An province.
The officer also inquired after and encouraged local people to follow COVID-19 prevention regulations and try their best to overcome hardships. He urged Can Duoc district's military command to collaborate with local authorities to enhance COVID-19 prevention and control and take care of disadvantaged people.
* The same day, An Phu Sinh Investment Construction Joint Stock Company presented seven tons of rice, medical supplies, and necessities, worth VND 300 million in total, to people in Can Giuoc district, Long An province.
On behalf of the local authorities, Deputy Standing Secretary of the district's Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Hung expressed his thanks to the company for the donation to the locality in support of its COVID-19 prevention and control.
* Binh Duong province chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in association with bishops of the Diocese of Phu Cuong sent 141 volunteers to assist the COVID-19 prevention and control work.
The volunteers, including priests, monks, and Christians, have been tested for COVID-19 before undertaking their missions. They will support COVID-19 prevention forces in Tan Uyen town.
* On September 12, Thu Duc city People’s Committee in collaboration with relevant agencies started to put oxygen stations into operation cylinders at 32 mobile medical stations.
