More efforts to help locals overcome consequences of Storm Noru
PANO – On October 1, Colonel Tran Minh Tan, Political Chief of A Nong Border Station of the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guards held that Road 606 crossing Lang commune in Tay Giang district was eroded with hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rock and forest trees falling on the road’s surface. Therefore, 4 border mountainous communes with about 6,000 inhabitants were isolated.
After the landslide took place, the local authorities mobilized vehicles to the scene to clear the road but they could not do immediately because the risk of more landslides remained with the continuous rain.
