More care for border troops in the fight against COVID-19
PANO – Representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Border Guard Command, and Radio of Ho Chi Minh City (VOH), visited and presented gifts to border troops on the front-line of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in Binh Phuoc and Long An provinces.

Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Nguyen Duy Thang and VOH’s Director Le Cong Dong were present at the program.
Having visited and presented gifts to troops at Checkpoint No.1 of the Loc Thanh Border Post (the Binh Phuoc provincial Border Guard Command), the delegation handed over 20 water purifiers, 5,000 medical masks, 300 face masks, 300 bottles of hand sanitizer, 20 boxes of milk and VND 20 million to troops of the post.
Similarly, the delegation also inquired after and granted gifts to troops stationed at the Thanh My Tay Border Post (the Long An provincial Border Guard Command).
According to Senior Colonel Thang, the program’s total cost of VND 200 million was mobilized from a program themed “Standing side by side with Vietnamese families” launched by the VOH to encourage troops to overcome difficulties to both manage border areas and prevent and control the pandemic.
