The gift presentation was in the framework of the programs “Mid-Autumn Festival Evening,” and “Zero Dong Milk” conducted by the Military Youth Advisory Board under the General Department of Political Affairs in collaboration with other military and civilian units on September 19 and 20.
In these programs, nearly 10,000 of COVID-19 patients, mostly the elderly and children under 16 received Topcakes, moon-cakes, hot-dogs, dairy products, lanterns, and others to enjoy a happy Mid-autumn Festival. The gifts were worth over VND 2 billion.
The activity has demonstrated the responsibility of military youths and served as an encouragement for the patients in the fight against COVID-19.
Over the past time, in the spirit of “Fighting the pandemic is like fighting an enemy,” youths in the whole military have carried out a number of meaningful activities to curb the pandemic. Numerous Youth Union members and cadres, especially those in the military medical sector, have actively transported goods to pandemic-hit people, taken COVID-19 test samples, and vaccinated local people.
Military youths have also joined hands in patrols, boosted dissemination of information about COVID-19 prevention measures and disinfected areas.
