Military units hand over houses to needy people
PANO - The People’s Army Newspaper (PAN), in coordination with the Hoa An district Party Committee (Cao Bang province) and Tam An Charity, held a ceremony on June 29 to kick off the construction of a house for a demobilized soldier and presented gifts to local people in Quang Trung commune, Hoa An district.
In order to share difficulties with local people, the PAN called on benefactors to build new houses for disadvantaged people. The recipient was a needy demobilized soldier, Ngo Van Thang, born in 1997 in Pan Keng village, Quang Trung commune. The house is built on an area of 70sq.m. and expected to be put into use after 3 months, with a total construction cost of VND 100 million.

On the occasion, the delegation presented 2 tons of rice; 51 gift packages to children in the village; 400 sets of clothes to people in Pan Keng village. Meanwhile, the delegation inquired after and presented gifts to two children with extremely difficult conditions in Dai Tien commune, Hoa An district.
* On the same day, the General Department of Logistics (GDL) held a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over a “great solidarity” house to wounded soldier Nguyen Thi Te in Chau Thanh townlet, Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province.
Nguyen Thi Te is the daughter of martyr Nguyen Van Choi who died in 1952. Her family is facing extreme difficulties.
The house covered an area of 60sq.m. and the GDL contributed VND 80 million to the construction of the house.
At the ceremony, GDL’s agencies, local authorities and military units in Chau Thanh district presented necessities to the family of Nguyen Thi Te. On the occasion, the delegation visited and presented 20 gifts to policy beneficiaries with difficult conditions in the locality.
