* Military Region 1 deployed nearly 3,000 troops and militiamen, along with 47 vehicles, to search for missing individuals at landslide and flash flood sites, and to spray disinfectants in affected areas in Thai Nguyen city, Thai Nguyen Province. Military personnel were also deployed to other provinces, including Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lang Son, and Bac Ninh, to assist local efforts in environmental cleanup and restoring daily life.

* Military Region 2 mobilized close to 11,000 personnel and 207 vehicles to continue searching for missing people in Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province, as well as supporting recovery efforts in several other northern provinces like Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, and Son La. The bodies of two more missing people were found in Nu village on that day.

* Military Region 3 dispatched around 20,500 personnel and 204 vehicles to assist people with disaster recovery in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Hoa Binh, and Hung Yen.

* The Hanoi Capital Military Command deployed nearly 7,300 troops and militiamen, with 345 vehicles, to support cleanup efforts and help stabilize the lives of people in eight districts across Hanoi.

* The Vietnam Border Guard Command sent hundreds of personnel, together with search and rescue dogs, to collaborate with local forces in locating missing victims and assisting disaster-stricken communities in Ky Son district (Nghe An province) and various districts in Lao Cai and Cao Bang provinces. Efforts included repairing water pipelines, clearing landslide debris, and regulating traffic in affected areas.

* The Naval Service deployed about 1,100 personnel and 79 vehicles to search for victims in the Gulf of Tonkin and assist in environmental cleanup in Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong city.

* The Coast Guard Region 1 Command used 11 boats and nearly 200 personnel for search and rescue missions in Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong city. Additionally, over 150 personnel were involved in environmental cleanup on Bach Long Vi island district and other districts of Hai Phong city, as well as Quang Yen town and Ha Long city of Quang Ninh province.

* The Cao Bang Provincial Military Command and Engineering Brigade 575 (Military Region 1) set up temporary tents for families who lost their houses due to landslides in Lung Ly hamlet, Ca Thanh commune, Nguyen Binh district. So far, 11 tents have been erected, and more are planned in the coming days.

* The Military School of Military Region 1 mobilized over 600 officers, cadets, and vehicles to help with road and drainage cleanup efforts in communes of Phu Binh district and Dong Lien commune of Thai Nguyen city, ensuring that people’s houses were repaired and protected.

The combined efforts of the armed forces are helping the affected regions recover swiftly from the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi.
