They joined hands to collect and sort garbage and plastic waste in an effort to clean the environment and prevent epidemic outbreak.

This program has been regularly held by the university every quarter in order to raise the awareness of its cadets and local residents of the need to reduce plastic waste, and encourage them to further study, develop, and use environmentally-friendly products.

According to the UN Environment Program, the humankind has created 8.3 billion metric tons of plastic products since large-scale production of the synthetic materials began in the early 1950s. However, 60 percent of it has ended up in either landfills or natural environments.
