Reportedly, in 2023, the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Military Region 7 directed the unit’s affiliates to seriously realize the directives and resolutions of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense on mass mobilization, ethnic and religious work.
Attentively, the affiliated units provided defense and security knowledge for more than 7,500 religious dignitaries and officials. Almost all units and localities signed coordination regulations and programs with local religious organizations.
Furthermore, the Military Region 7 Command built 34 cultural and sports facilities as presents for religious establishments and ethnic minority areas with the total value of more than VND 13 billion. The command also presented 429 “Military-civilian sentiment” houses to religious and ethnic minority people facing housing difficulty.
Addressing the meeting, Gen. Tran Hoai Trung expressed his delight at meeting with the religious dignitaries. He laid stress on the outcomes of coordination programs, the multiplication of creative and effective models that benefit religious followers, contributing to effectively implementing the Party’s resolutions and the State’s law on ethnic and religious affairs.
He also highly praised units for mobilization of resources to care for both spiritual and material life of religious followers, helping consolidate the solidarity between troops and people, well address emerging issues in the stationed areas, and build strong people’s heart posture, whole people’s defense disposition, and armed forces.
With firm trust in the Party’s leadership and good feelings for troops, religious followers have actively engaged in movements, upheld local security, contributed to local development, and sabotaged hostile forces’ distorted and wrongful allegations.
Gen. Trung hoped that with their prestige, religious dignitaries will continue to connect the military region’s Party Committee, Chain-of-Command, local party committee and authorities with religious followers, thus building a strong great national unity bloc, firmly safeguarding the country.
