Earlier on November 29, 39-year-old fisherman Nguyen Xuan Trieu had signs of dull abdominal pain while fishing 110 nautical miles from Song Tu Tay Island and was taken to the island by fishermen onboard trawler QNa 90444 TS for emergency aid.

Military medical staff on the island diagnosed that the patient was suffering from acute appendicitis and recommended immediate surgery. The surgery was successful, and the patient’s health condition is now stable. He will continue to stay in the infirmary for further monitoring and treatment.
