Military hospitals provide free health check-ups for national contributors
PANO – On August 24, Military Hospital 103 and the National Burn Hospital under the Military Medical Academy and the People's Army Newspaper (PAN) presented gifts and provided free health check-ups and medicines to needy national contributors suffering from heart diseases in Dinh Du commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province.
The event is part of the activities to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
Attending the event were Lieutenant General, Prof., Dr. Do Quyet, Director of the Military Medical Academy; Major General Pham Van Huan, PAN's Editor-in-Chief; Major General, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Viet Tien, Director of Military Hospital 103; Senior Colonel Truong Ngoc Duong, Political Commissar of the National Burn Hospital; and more than 50 doctors of the two hospitals.

Accordingly, over 500 national contributors received free health check-ups, health counseling and medicines from the doctors of the hospitals. Besides, the delegation also presented 60 gifts, worth VND 500,000 each, to families of national contributors, and gave three television sets to kindergartens in the locality.
Over the past years, the PAN and the Military Medical Academy have always successfully implemented the homefront policies, strengthened military-civilian ties, and organized various practical activities. This event aimed to further tighten the solidarity between the military and the local people, thus promoting the cooperation between the Academy, the PAN, authorities and people in Dinh Du commune.
