Major General Nguyen Xuan Kien speaks at the event.

Amid the complicated developments of COVID-19, during the first days of the year, the whole military raised its responsibility and supported localities in pandemic prevention and control. These efforts have been acknowledged by the Party, State and people, contributing to promoting the beautiful images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the current context.

Concluding the event, General Kien asked relevant units to strictly embrace directives and resolutions of higher levels, implement prevention and control measures against the novel coronavirus, and ensure safety for the entire military to fulfill assigned missions.

In addition, each officer and soldier should promote awareness of COVID-19 prevention and control work for local people in residential quarters.

They were also asked to prepare action plans to deal with a possible situation in which Covid-19 patients or suspects are detected in the military units.

Furthermore, military units need to pay due attention to the upcoming enlistment drive, particularly in checking new recruits’ health conditions in order to not let the pandemic enter the military.
