An overview of the conference |
During the event, both sides focused on evaluating the implementation of the cooperation regulations in 2023. Accordingly, in 2023, the bilateral coordination has been boosted, with the focus on information and experience sharing in addressing war-left and mine consequences.
Initially, the work has gained remarkable achievements. VNMAC joined the program held by VNASMA in the provinces of Lang Son, Thua Thien Hue and Gia Lai to support UXO/landmine victims. Meanwhile, VNASMA also actively participated in activities organized by VNMAC.
In order to boost their coordination in 2024, the two sides agreed to continue to promote dissemination work to raise public awareness of preventing and avoiding landmine accidents in localities, providing livelihood support for landmine victims, and distributing books in this field to raise students’ awareness.
Besides, VNMAC proposed to expand coordination activities, such as educating people to preventing landmine accidents, and assisting landmine victims, among others.
