Gratitude house presented to wounded soldier
PANO – The Engineer Corps of the Vietnam People’s Army held a ceremony on December 15 to hand over a gratitude house to the family of wounded soldier Nguyen Van Quyen in Quang Trung hamlet, Cao Duong commune, Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province.
Quyen is a former soldier of Company 2 of Battalion 93 under the Staff of the Engineer Corps. He was injured when doing bomb and mine clearance in the border area of Lang Son province.
After four months of construction, the 90 sq.m house was completed at a total cost of over VND 300 million, of which the corps donated VND 80 million and the remainder came from the family and locals.
The gratitude house, a meaningful gift, displays the good care of the military for policy beneficiaries in celebration of the 76th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, the 31st anniversary of the Whole-People’s Defense Festive Day (December 22, 1944 - 2020) and towards the 75th anniversary of the foundation day of the Engineer Corps (March 25, 1946 – 2021).
