At the house-handover ceremony

The husband of A Viet Thi Xum, a native of the Ta Oi ethnic group died at a young age, leaving behind his wife and two small children. Xum and the two kids have been living in a makeshift house, as she has no job or stable income.

On knowing her situation, the Economic Department donated VND 75 million and Defense Economic Unit 92 contributed VND 18 million, which was raised by its staff. They spent 320 working days on the construction.

In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic and harsh weather, the 70sq.m house was completed and handed over to the needy family as scheduled at a total cost of VND 170 million.

This was a meaningful activity to welcome the Party congresses at all levels of Defense Economic Unit 92, and also respond to the movement “Whole country joins hands for the poor, no one is left behind.”
