Wounded soldier Ha Van Do, born in 1968, is a former soldier of Infantry Division 315, Military Region 5, who participated in combat in Cambodia. He currently resides in Long Hoa hamlet, Van Long commune, Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province. He faces severe circumstances and is personally disabled, having lost both arms. Additionally, his only two sons have deceased.
Following a survey and the establishment of a plan to build a gratitude house for the wounded soldier, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command coordinated with relevant agencies to commence the construction on October 2, 2023, with the total cost of VND 380 million, wherein the Signal Officers Training School contributed VND 80 million and numerous working days.

After two months of construction, the house was completed with a total usable area of 70 sq.m, comprising a living room, an ancestral worship room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
Addressing the handover ceremony, Senior Colonel Vu Quang Khoi, Deputy Political Commissar of the Signal Officers Training School, affirmed that assisting policy beneficiary families and those who contributed to the national revolution is an honor for the School, reflecting the "When drinking water, remember its source" tradition of the Vietnamese people. The unit hopes that this house will provide a stable life to wounded soldier Ha Van Do and his family in the coming time.
