GDP leader extends Tet greetings in Hanoi
PANO – On the occasion of the coming 2024 lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, on January 16, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army, visited former GDP Deputy Chiefs Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan and Lieutenant General Le Hien Van.
During the visits, Gen. Gau inquired after and extended Tet greetings to the former leaders and expressed his hoped that they would continue giving their valuable opinions to the Party’s revolutionary cause as well as the development of the military in general and the GDP in particular.

At the same time, the GDP leader also briefed the two generals on key missions of the Party and political work that the military has implemented.
In turn, Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan and Lieutenant General Le Hien Van wanted troops of the military and GDP to further do their utmost in task performance and to bring into play the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, contributing to fulfilling all assigned tasks.
On this occasion, Gen. Gau paid visits to several units under the GDP. At these meetings, he requested them to continue to promote inner solidarity, overcome current difficulties, complete assigned missions, and organize Tet celebrations for troops in a cozy, healthy, safe, and economical manner.
