Free health check-ups for needy people in Cambodia
PANO - The Kien Giang provincial Border Guard Command, in collaboration with the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association, the Red Cross Society (VRC) of Kien Giang province and Saigon-Kien Giang Beer Joint Stock Company, on November 18 provided free health check-ups and medicines and presented gifts to needy people in Xay Soc Dong commune, Kampontrach district, KamPot province, Cambodia.
According to Colonel Le Quoc Tuan, this activity helped tighten the friendship between the two peoples, and served as a basis for the two armed forces in border areas to properly fulfill their tasks of protecting border sovereignty.
Doctors of Kien Giang provincial Border Guard Command provide medical advice to Cambodian people.
Deputy-Governor of Kamphot province, Cambodia You Sokun also thanked the delegation of Kien Giang provincial Border Guard Command and Vietnamese charity team for organizing these meaningful activities, and hoped that the program would promote the good relations between the two countries in general, as well as the KamPot and Kien Giang in particular.
On the occasion, the Saigon-Kien Giang Beer Joint Stock Company presented 300 gifts, worth VND 120 million, to local people in the Xay Hoc Dong commune.
