The trawler anchors at Truong Sa Island’s wharf. |
Captain Minh contacted the center for guidance to enter the island’s wharf and asked for repair support.
After the fishing vessel safely docked, the center dispatched a technical team to inspect and assess the damage. They found that the flange connecting the propeller shaft to the main engine gearbox had worn out, while several connecting nuts had broken, affecting the vessel’s propulsion system.
After agreeing with the captain on the repair plan, the technical team brought equipment to the wharf, dismantled the damaged components, and transported them to the workshop. The team re-machined the connecting flange and replaced the broken nuts. By 15:00 on March 10, the repair was successfully completed. The team then coordinated the reassembly and conducted load testing, confirming normal operation before handing the vessel back to the captain.
