Distressed vessel rescued at sea
PANO- According to the Quang Nam provincial Border Guard Command, a distressed vessel Qna 91379 with 44 fishermen on board, captained by Tran Van Vien in Tam Giang commune, Nui Thanh district (Quang Nam province) went adrift due to engine failure while fishing for octopus at sea. The functional agencies are, at the time of writing, connecting and coordinating with other forces to tow the troubled vessel ashore.
In fact, fishing boat Qna 90927 TS, captained by Tran Tan Sinh in Tam Giang commune had approached the distressed trawler but failed to tow it ashore due to severe weather conditions. The Quang Nam Border Guard Command while maintaining communications with the two trawlers, informed the relevant agencies to send ships to execute the rescue mission as its ships did not have sufficient range to reach the distressed vessel. At present, the crew of the vessel are in good condition.
