These models have contributed to tightening solidarity between troops and people.

Muong Cha district (Dien Bien province) has a large number of ethnic people living in difficult conditions. Many families have to live in makeshift houses. To ease local people’s difficulties, in rainy season, the Muong Cha district Military Command establishes a team to coordinate with local authorities to build solid houses for needy people. Since May 2020, the team has built three schools and 23 houses, contributing to addressing the housing problem for poor families, especially ethnic ones.

Hmong resident Giang Thi Kia, born in 1952, in Huoi My village, Ma Thi Ho commune, Muong Cha district, shared that she had lived alone in a degraded house for many years. On receiving the new house from troops and the local authority, she felt happy.

According to Mua A Do, Chairman of the Ma Thi Ho commune People’s Committee, Ma Thi Ho is a mountainous commune with a large number of ethnic people. People are confronting with many difficulties, especially in terms of housing. Over the past time, troops and authorities at all levels have helped build houses for needy families, which has been seen as a great source of encouragement for them to settle down and escape poverty.

For Regiment 741 under the Dien Bien provincial Military Command, along with accomplishing key tasks, over the past years, mass mobilization work has become a bright spot of the unit.

Colonel Vu Hoai Thanh, Commanding Officer of Regiment 741, said that the unit regularly coordinates with the local Party committees and authorities to follow the situational development and then mapped out specific plans to implement mass mobilization work in a practical and effective manner, meeting the requirements of the reality in the locality.

Since 2021, the regiment has carried out mass mobilization work in Muong Nhe and Tuan Giao districts. In particular, troops of the unit have helped local people dredge canals, build houses and new rural roads, assist local schools to concretize schoolyards, to name but a few. Meanwhile, the unit has pro-actively worked with local authorities and mass organizations to conduct dissemination activities and encourage people to remove old-fashioned customs, as well as present gifts to policy beneficiaries, needy families and students, among others.

According to Senior Colonel Le Tien Dung, Deputy Political Commissar of the Dien Bien provincial Military Command, in order to raise the efficiency of mass mobilization work, the command has directed its agencies and units to set up various models to popularize the Party’s guidelines and policies and the State’s laws among local people. During the implementation, the units have coordinated with local departments, sectors and organizations to grasp people’s living conditions, feelings and aspirations to improve the efficiency of the mass mobilization work.
