An overview of the conference

Senior Lieutenant General Do Can, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs, chaired the conference.

Accordingly, the get-together is an activity to mark the 75th anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022).

The meeting will be organized by the Central Military Commission, with the participation of more than 270 delegates, including 150 outstanding national contributors and martyrs’ family members who are working in the military and five heroic Vietnamese mothers.

It is seen as an occasion to pay gratitude and honor outstanding national contributors and martyrs’ relatives for their achievements in all working aspects, contributing to the military building, defense reinforcement and national construction and protection in the new context.

The meeting aims to educate Vietnamese revolutionary tradition, nurture patriotism and national pride among generations, especially youngsters.

It also contributes to carrying out the national traditions of “When drinking water, remember its source,” and “Gratitude,” and promoting practical activities to take care of national contributors.

Speaking at the conference, Gen. Can required agencies and units to closely work together to make thorough preparations for the meeting as planned.

In detail, agencies and units should map out concrete plans to organize a successful meeting, including hosting good reception, ensuring logistics works, security, and absolute safety for delegates, among others.
