Commando Brigade 5 builds houses for its needy personnel
PANO - Commando Brigade 5 under the Commando Corps held a ceremony on November 6 in Ninh Hai district of Ninh Thuan province to hand over two houses to needy officers.
Particularly, houses were handed over to families of non-commissioned Lieutenant Nguyen Danh Long, a driver of the Staff Department, and non-commissioned Lieutenant Tran Van Phong, a technician of the Technical Department. Both officers Long and Phong had been facing housing difficulties as their children are small, their wives are jobless, and their parents are getting older.
According to Colonel Le Cong Quy, Deputy Political Commissar of Commando Brigade 5, the houses were constructed under the guidance of the Political Department of the Commando Corps on providing financial assistance to build houses for its needy personnel in 2020.
Having studied their circumstances and financial situation, the unit decided to allocate VND 160 million to build houses. During the construction of the projects, the unit’s troops also lent a hand to complete the construction to ensure good quality.
Speaking at the event, non-commissioned Lieutenant Nguyen Danh Long expressed deep gratitude for the care of his leaders and comrades. He said that the house was a valuable gift demonstrating the great care of the units’ leaders for needy troops like him and served as a source of encouragement to help him fulfill all assigned missions to deserve the trust and love of the unit’s leaders and troops.
