Representative of the Military Region 1 Command handing over gifts to Ha Van Dien |
*Realizing higher levels’ guidelines on building houses of gratitude for national contributors’ families, the General Department of Technical Services has constructed a house for Le Thi Do, a martyr’s widow in Vong Xuyen commune of Hanoi’s Phuc Tho district.
The house was built on an area of 54 square meters at a cost of VND 300 million, of which the general department contributed VND 80 million, and the rest came from her family. During the house construction, the Staff Agency of the general department instructed relevant units to supervise the progress and quality of the project.
On the house inaugural occasion, leaders of the general department, agencies, and units presented gifts to Le Thi Do.
* The Bac Kan provincial Military Command has cooperated with the local leadership to hold a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over a gratitude house to the household of Ha Van Dien in Na Chuong of Nong Thuong commune of Bac Kan province’s Bac Kan city. Dien is a son of fallen soldier Ha Dinh Tuy who laid down himself during the resistance war against American imperialists.
Earlier, the Military Region 1 Command donated VND 80 million from its “Gratitude” fund to the provincial Military Command for the building of the house. The 55sq.m house was completed after two months of construction.
* Similarly, the Nam Dinh provincial Military Command has handed a house to Pham Thi Bot, martyr Hoang Trong Vo’s spouse in Yen Minh commune of Y Yen district. The house was constructed at a cost of VND 170 million, which was funded by the Ministry of National Defense’s fund and donated by the local authorities and people.
The building of gratitude homes demonstrated the care and gratitude of the Party, State, and military for the great contributions and sacrifices of those who had rendered good service to the nation.
