The delegation visits State President Luong Cuong. 

On behalf of the CMC and MND, Gen. Nghia extended best wishes to State President Luong Cuong on the occasion of the 81st founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - 2025) and 36th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defense Festive Day (December 22, 1989 - 2025).

Gen. Nghia expressed deep gratitude for the Party and State’s leadership and direction toward the military. He affirmed that officers and soldiers across the military are always absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people, and determined to build a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern military.

State President Luong Cuong highly appreciated the military’s great contributions to the national construction and defense cause. He acknowledged the military’s role in supporting local residents in overcoming consequences of natural disasters. He expressed his confidence that the military will promote its heroic traditions and uphold its key role in consolidating defense and firmly safeguarding the Fatherland.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia and the delegation visit Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Trinh Van Quyet.

During the visit to Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, Gen. Nghia thanked the Commission for its care for and close coordination in military and defense affairs. He stressed that the GDP and the whole military always thoroughly grasp the Party’s guidelines and viewpoints and effectively execute information dissemination and political and ideological education work.

Mr. Quyet highly praised the military for its outstanding achievements gained over the past time and its performance of mass mobilization and information dissemination work to build a firm people’s heart disposition. He believed that the military will carry forward good qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and excellently fulfil all assignments.

The same day, Gen. Nghia and the delegation visited and extended wishes to former Politburo members, former Vice Secretaries of the CMC, former Defense Ministers Gen. Pham Van Tra and Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich; former Politburo member, former GDP Chief Sr. Lt. Gen. Pham Thanh Ngan; former PCC member, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, former Chief of the General Staff and former Deputy Defense Minister Gen. Do Ba Ty.

Also on December 16, Gen. Nghia and the delegation offered incense in tribute to former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu; former Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; former State President Le Duc Anh; former Politburo member, former Secretary of the CMC and former Defense Minister Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap; former Politburo member and former GDP Chief Gen. Nguyen Chi Thanh; former PCC Secretary, former GDP Chief and former Deputy Defense Minister Gen. Nguyen Quyet; and former Politburo members and former Defense Ministers Gen. Van Tien Dung, Gen. Doan Khue, and Gen. Phung Quang Thanh.
