The event saw the participation of more than 1,500 youth union members in response to the Vietnam Sea and Island Week, the World Environment Day (June 5), the World Ocean Day (June 8), an anti-plastic waste movement, and activities for environmental protection of the 2019 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

More than 1,500 youth union members joining hands in cleaning up the sea environment

These activities aim to raise troops’, youth union members’, and local people's awareness of the ocean's significant role in human life, thus calling on the community to join hands to protect the marine environment through practical deeds and support disadvantaged fishermen.

On this occasion, the provincial Border Guard Command's Youth Union also presented a computer to the youth union organization in Trieu Lang commune, and a lighting system to Trieu Phong district.
