“Let’s clean up the ocean 2019” campaign kicked off
PANO – The provincial Border Guard Command of Quang Nam on April 20 launched the “Let’s clean up the sea” campaign in 2019 and the program to learn and follow the brave example of Lieutenant Quach Van Tinh.
The event saw the participation of more than 300 troops from the provincial border guard command, other units, and students in Hoi An city. During the campaign, the Border Guard Station of Cua Dai and local authorities and fishermen signed an agreement on joining efforts to protect the ocean environment.

On the day, the 300 participants collected garbage along Cua Dai beach.
During the event, the provincial Border Guard Command of Quang Nam presented dozens of gifts to fishermen and their children.
On this occasion, the unit also launched a program to study and follow the brave example of Lieutenant Quach Van Tinh.
Earlier, on April 4th he plunged himself into the sea to save two students from drowning while he was doing his duty at the Border Guard Station of Dien Duong.
