Border troops support local people
PANO - From September 26 to 28, units under the Border Guard Command of Dak Lak province organized various meaningful activities such as giving away gifts, building gratitude houses, and providing medical check-ups for needy people in border areas.
The Border Guard Command of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Dak lak provincial Border Guard Command, and the Youth Union chapter of the province presented 200 gifts to poor people and 30 bicycles to needy students with good learning outcomes. They provided free medical check-ups and medicines to local people and organized a Mid-Autumn Festival for children in Krong Na commune, Buon Don district.

The total value of the gifts was about VND 300 billion. In addition, Serepok Border Guard Station also cooperated with local organizations and schools organized a program to award 280 gifts, worth VND 18 billion, to needy students.
Three hundred gifts, including 300 moon cakes and 864 packs of Nutifood milk, was given to children in Ea Bung commune, Ea Sup district. Ia Rve Border Guard Station, in association with the Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak province and donors from HCM City, donated VND 30 million to build a canteen for Thien Nga Kindergarten; presented 130 gifts, worth VND 500,000 each, to policy and needy families in Ia Rve commune, Ea Sup district.
Ea H’leo Border Guard Station and the Youth Union organization of la Lop commune, Ea Sup district presented 200 gifts, worth VND 12 billion, to children in the area.
On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the provincial Border Guard Command gave away 95 boxes of soft drinks and 64 boxes of moon-cakes to children in four border communes.
