Each welfare bag includes 10kg of rice, a bottle of fish sauce, one pack of soup powder, and a pack of seasoning glutamate.
The recipients were border households badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, including a household with five members with COVID-19.
The delegation also came to each house in the locality to inquire after poor households.
The presentation of welfare bags was part of numerous activities launched by the Dien Bien provincial Border Guard Command in celebration of the 65th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Federation (October 15, 1956-2021) and 91st founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930-2021).
The aim of these significant activities is to give support to extremely disadvantaged people in border areas who have been heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic so that they could overcome difficulties and resume their normal life at the soonest time.
