The command provides VND 500,000 per month to each of the 87 disadvantaged students living in border areas until they graduate from high school. This is part of the command’s program “Supporting students to go to school.”

Ten out of the 87 students are fostered by Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Defense Minister and former commanding officer of the Thua Thien - Hue Border Guard Command and former Commanding General of the Vietnam Border Guard Command.

Also in this program, the command gives support to nine Lao students in Sekong and Salavan provinces which border Thua Thien - Hue province.

Apart from the above-mentioned support, the command and its affiliates have also lent a hand to disinfect schools to secure a safe environment for students to study.

Below are several photos of the command’s affiliates’ support activities for needy students ahead the new academic year.
