Border guards help light up border areas
PANO - Lang Mo Border Station under the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command and local authorities co-held a program from August 31 to September 2 to hand over three lighting facilities to the villages of Co Trang, Da Chat and Chan Troong of Truong Son commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province.

All three projects, named “Light in border areas,” have 75 light poles operated by solar energy, with a total length of over 3.1 km. The lighting facilities, worth VND 150 million in total, were sponsored by the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) and the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command.
The officers and soldiers of Lang Mo Border Station donated 100 working days to support local people in performing the construction and installation.

The three lighting projects were put into operation on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2), contributing to ensuring security and social order and improving the material and spiritual life for local people.
Up to now, Lang Mo Border Station has coordinated with relevant units to build 15 similar systems, with more than 15 km in length and at a total cost of VND 765 million, to serve local people in border areas.
