Amid the severe weather condition, troops of the Border Post of Long Sap Border Gate under the Son La Provincial Border Guards walk down the mountain to buy food to prepare meals for 13 children who are studying at Buoc Pat campus of Long Sap Kindergarten.

Over the past 10 years, troops of the Border Post of Long Sap Border Gate have launched the “Meals for children” program funded by the donation form their salary, and mobilized sponsors to give food, clothes, and school supplies to children of needy families in the area.

The meaningful program has contributed to encouraging children to overcome hardships to go to schools while reinforcing the civilian-military solidarity in the border area.

Here are several images featuring the border troops’ support for local children.
