On learning the situation, Ia Rve Border Post deployed forces to work with local authorities to encourage and provide support to locals to reroof their houses and guide them to reinforce their houses to protect them from whirlwinds and natural disasters.

According to Major Cao Manh Tuan, annually April and May are the time when the weather in border localities of Dak Lak province changes from dry to rainy season. In this period of time, extreme weather phenomena, such as whirlwinds, thunders, hails, and flooding usually occur. Therefore, the unit has actively equipped locals with measures to respond to natural disasters and updated them with the developments of weather through public address system and social media to help them prepare response measures to reduce losses.

Together with that, Ia Rve Border Post has worked with local authorities and other forces to develop disaster prevention and control and response plans.
