Previously around 12:50, the trawler, captained by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai from Xuan Hai village, Quang Phu commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province, was sunk while conducting fishing activities at sea about a nautical mile from Roon estuary.

Upon receiving the information, Roon Border Station under the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command mobilized six troops to the scene for rescue mission.

Also, the unit received support from six fishing vessels operating nearby.

At 14:30 on the same day, all six crew-members on board were brought ashore safely.
