4,000 volunteers and local people cleaned and lighted up 27,400 martyrs’ graves with candles in Ho Chi Minh City.

The activity was launched by the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union Standing Committee and the city’s Department for Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs from 6 pm to 9 pm on July 27 to commemorate the 61st Martyrs and War Invalids’ Day.

Accordingly, all graves at seven martyrs’ cemeteries at Binh Chanh, An Nhon Tay, Nha Be, Tan Xuan, Thu Duc, Sac Jungle and the city’s were redecorated and lighted up with candles.
