PANO - Writers and literature researchers on November 24th discussed how to make their works on the armed forces and the revolutionary war more appealing to readers at a seminar at Tam Dao Composition Camp in Vinh Phuc province.

Addressing the seminar, held by the People’s Army Publishing House, Senior Colonel Kieu Bach Tuan, the publisher’s Director and Editor-in-Chief, stressed the vital role of literature on the armed forces and the revolutionary war in Vietnamese literature in the past.

He also agreed that in peacetime, the status of such a theme is reduced. Therefore, he hopes to collect more constructive opinions to resume such a theme for present work.

Confirming that the topic of the armed forces and the revolutionary war is important, delegates called for more attention and support from relevant military and civilian organizations through different activities. They reached a consensus that writers and literature researchers themselves need to whole-heartedly compose more works on such a theme.

On the agenda at the seminar were also proposals and methods to build literature images in novels and epics.
