Vietnam Border Guard to well implement border management and protection work
PANO - On January 2, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Border Guard Command issued a leadership resolution on task implementation for 2025. Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army, attended the conference.
In 2024, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Border Guard Command effectively made recommendations to the higher levels on policies to safeguard territorial sovereignty and national border security. It played a key role in maintaining security, combating all types of crimes, and promoting socio-economic development in border areas. The Vietnam Border Guard Command also strengthened defense and border diplomacy, contributing to poverty reduction and political stability at the grassroots level.

Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet hailed the Vietnam Border Guard Command’s achievements in 2024 and emphasized the importance of 2025, with key Party congresses and national events ahead.
The general urged the unit to remain pro-active, fulfill tasks effectively, and make recommendations to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on safeguarding territorial sovereignty and national border security.
