The Party Committee, People’s Council and Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Nam province held a ceremony to receive the order and mark the 75th founding anniversary of the provincial armed forces (March 18, 1947 - 2022).

Since its inception, the armed forces of Ha Nam province have mobilized tens of thousands of youths and cadres to join the military and contribute their parts to the national resistance wars against the French colonialists and the U.S. imperialists. They have also reinforced the front-line with nearly 100,000 tons of food, taken care of thousands of wounded and sick soldiers and welcomed trainees from the South.
With their feats-of-arms in the two resistance wars against the U.S. and the French invaders, the provincial armed forces and its individuals and groups have been awarded with the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” by the Party and the State.
Over the past years, cadres, soldiers, and self-defense and militia troops of the provincial armed forces have boosted solidarity, fulfilled all assignments, especially in giving advice to the local party committee and authorities to direct the effective implementation of military and defense missions. In addition, the armed forces of Ha Nam province have raised synergy, combat readiness capacity to meet requirements of Fatherland construction and defense in the current period.
Addressing the event, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Commander of Military Region 3, congratulated and hailed the provincial armed forces for their accomplishments and feats-of-arms over the past 75 years.
General Ngoc urged the local armed forces to continuously embrace and implement the Party’s, State’s, Ministry of National Defense’s directives and resolutions, raise troops’ political awareness, and build troops with firm political stance, absolute loyalty to the Party, State, and people, and readiness to undertake and complete all assigned missions.

The Commando Corps receives the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order. |
The same day, Lt. Gen. Huynh Chien Thang, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, attended a ceremony held by the Commando Corps to receive the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order and celebrate the 55th founding anniversary of the corps (March 19, 1967-2022). Over the past 55 years of construction, combat, and development, the corps has achieved a number of feats-of-arms and outstanding achievements. 105 groups and 227 individuals of the corps have been honored with the “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” title. The corps has twice been awarded with the “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” title.
At the ceremony, authorized by the State President, General Thang presented the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order to the Commando Corps.
