Troops stay active in disaster consequence mitigation
PANO – On the average, Vietnam is hit by tens of storms each year, most of which land on the Central region of the country. Apart from that, flash floods, landslides, forest fires, etc. may also occur.
Therefore, it is important and necessary to conduct disaster consequence mitigation exercises. These exercises help relevant forces not only well prepare for possible disasters, but also reduce regrettable losses when calamities really occur.
The People’s Army Newspaper would like to present a number of images featuring troops in training for disaster consequence mitigation.
In emergency, helicopters are used for rescue operations.
